Black Tea

Our black teas are from the finest tea gardens of Ceylon and Darjeeling. Each one has been specially selected for its characteristic seasonal aroma and unique taste.

The Nuwara Eliya highlands, the very top of the mountainous region of Ceylon, are located at an elevation over 6000 feet. The cool climate, regular sunshine, along with the seasonal gusts of the North Eastern Monsoons during February and March, imbues the tea in this region, for a few short weeks, with a captivating floral aroma and delicate taste. We have meticulously chosen only the best teas during this special season for this fine selection. Nuwara Eliya teas are greenish in appearance and brew bright yellow infusions.

Tea

Tea or Camellia Sinensis is packed full of flavonoids and polyphenols, antioxidants, which are thought to help keep the body healthy by preventing the debilitating effects of free radicals. Recent studies conclude that those who drink tea regularly tend to enjoy better heart health and lower cholesterol levels. Today's research only helps to confirm what was known since ancient times that tea revitalizes the mind and body.
