Black Tea

Our black teas are from the finest tea gardens of Ceylon and Darjeeling. Each one has been specially selected for its characteristic seasonal aroma and unique taste.

Located on the Eastern slopes of the central highlands of Ceylon, teas in the Uva Valley become extremely aromatic during the months of July and August due to the onset of the South Western Monsoons. The strong and vigorous blowing of the Monsoon winds sets in motion a natural process within the tea bush that results in its heightened and distinct aroma loved world over. These "seasonal" Uva teas are medium bodied and brownish in their leaf appearance.

Tea

Tea or Camellia Sinensis is packed full of flavonoids and polyphenols, antioxidants, which are thought to help keep the body healthy by preventing the debilitating effects of free radicals. Recent studies conclude that those who drink tea regularly tend to enjoy better heart health and lower cholesterol levels. Today's research only helps to confirm what was known since ancient times that tea revitalizes the mind and body.
